- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.... I would never, ever, EVER recommend this place to anyone! If I could give HR Block more than two thumbs down, I would. This is the 2nd time HR Block has burned me (the first time at a different location, but the second time was at this Bentonville location).. I will NEVER go back and I'm warning everyone I know. Beware of terrible service... I felt incredibly uneasy about the preparation, and wanted a second opinion... they said they'd hold my taxes until I gave them permission to send them off... turns out, THEY SENT THEM ANYWAY! When I had someone else take a look at them, (big surprise) they were done incorrectly. I found out that the liars at HR Block had submitted my taxes, only when I tried to send off my taxes that were prepared correctly.... NOW, I'm dealing with trying to get my $250 for "preparation services" back from HR Block. I won't pay money to a company that wasted my time, submitted incorrect work, and lied to me about not submitting said work, in addition to dealing with the headache of them filing my amendment (which I'm sure will not go smoothly). LOVE getting the run around... They are "working" on my amendment in-between clients (which makes me feel SUPER confident), but they're going by and scrutinizing every line of the return they didn't do. I don't want your "expert in-and-out in an hour" opinions anymore, the "expert" I ran into has no business balancing a checkbook, let alone filing other people's taxes. HR Block has proven themselves utterly useless and inept... It is my hope that they do right by people, but I'm not holding my breath... BEWARE OF HR BLOCK! Find a local accountant or CPA, you'll be better off in the long run (at least they won't spend 40 minutes Googling tax answers)... Good luck everyone else!By Ashlee, June 19, 2017
